COME. EXPLORE. REDISCOVER.
Europe. Middle East.
North America. South America.
A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES AWAITS.
Welcome Armchair Travellers!
I love travel. I was almost born with a travelling (and cruising) bug.
When I was just a baby, my family moved to France (Paris), and then to Iceland (Reykjavik), on my father’s Foreign Service assignments. Although I was too young to remember, we even made a trans-Atlantic sailing one way.
In my teens, I visited my sister in South America one summer (Colombia) and took some interesting excursions with anthropologists. I remember she took me to Bogota one weekend, and we woke up the next morning to see a plane that had crashed in the mountain nearby.
As a young adult, I enjoyed a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Unfortunately, I also enjoyed “Montezuma’s Revenge” on that trip.
As an adult I worked for a wholesale travel company and enjoyed the benefits of travel opportunities. I did a whirlwind tour of Europe (like the movie, “If It’s Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium”); visited Hawaii; visited Athens and cruised the Greek Islands; visited Egypt and cruised the Nile several times. I even lived in Egypt (Cairo) for a year.
With marriage and motherhood, my travelling days wound down. More recently, I’ve taken family trips to nearby beaches for short getaways. I also enjoyed a mother/daughter trip to New York to see “Wicked” on Broadway, followed by a Canada/New England cruise. That was a fabulous getaway!
These days, in my middle age, I’m not able to travel as much physically as I would like to. But what’s to stop me from travelling virtually? Nothing! So, now I plan to virtually go to the ends of the earth, exploring wonderful places and wonderful itineraries, to fulfill my Armchair Wanderlust.
I hope you’ll join me… Come. Explore. Rediscover. A world of possibilities awaits. You might even take a real trip. I hope so.
